Problem with millermatic 180 auto set

I am having an issue with my millermatic 180 auto set welder. I just got it (not new but used). It will weld for about 2 seconds then just stop once I pull the trigger again it welds for another 2 seconds and stops does this every time. It's like its pulse welding. Idk if it's broke or what. Any suggestions?

Does the wire stop and gas solinoid turn off?

Out of curiousity, remove the trigger terminal connector from the machine, turn down the wire speed, and jumper the machine connector with a piece of wire. Does it still turn off?
