  • bobcat 250 with dead short need help asap please

Hi i have a bobcat 250 with a onin 20 engine. The problem started by the batterie goin dead while not in use. So i replaced the voltage regulator because i had read on a forum that said this could be the issue. Now with the new regulator on when the unit is running the engine wont idle down and the whole unit acts like it is charged. Like it sparks everywere. Its like the whole thing is charged. Ive checked the 3 wires on the regulator to make sure they were on the right terminals and they are. PLEASE HELP IM STUMPED AND GOTTA HAVE THE WELDER.

Well, the reg harness has 3 wires. BUT, the 4th one attaches to the body of the reg to a ground of the engine. Often there is a metal strip that you screw into. Usually on the Miller version there is a wire. Might want to verify that first.
