Tig arc wont stay lit

need some help guys, so i was welding some alum today and the arc would dim way down til it eventually went out while doing this it was almost kinda flickering. if i waited a few min and started it back up it would start off fine but go back dim again. sorta like something is getting hot and breaking down. im running a miller trailblazer 301 with a HF box hooked to it. any help would be appreciated.

Failed ground or failed torch conduit ( conduit pulled out of harness. Yes HF will still work and it jumps from the harness to the internal conduit)
