  • Bite'n these big one.... Buying a new Blue Machine

I'm sure it's asked here a millions times but I'm new and have yet to research past posts.

I am am rigging up to buy a new welder for my shop. We don't do too much fab work but a lot of welding repair on large steel material ranging in sizes of (1/4" - 2").

Id like a mig rig with a pretty long cable (gun).

Any advice as to size and machine. The shop is single phase with 220 electrical supply.

    Thanks guys/gals

350p sounds like the ticket, or multi process with a feeder. Your gonna need some amps from your description.

I agree with Cgotto6, if your looking for mig setup that's the Michine. I use it every day for heavy steel repair & Fab. I've run mine 225 amp area 4 hrs straight other than cooling gun in water gets to hot to hold, the Michine purrs like a kitten. Used this one 3-years hasn't let me down yet. Better yet it paid for itself long ago.

I think mine came with 15' 300amp gun.
