I just bought a Maxstar 150 STH used and the man had never tig welded with this welder and this has 150 STH has built-in gas solenoid, the Maxstar 150 eliminates the need for a bulky TIG torch with a gas valve. I have always used a tig head with gas valve, can someone explain to me when you strike off how do you the gas flow to tungsten before ark . Thanks for any help.

hook up a pedal or finger control and step on it with tungsten about 1/8 inch off steel it does the rest pedal to control amps like gas pedal on car, its a nice tig machine only ok on stick. -
