    I have gotten the (new to me) welder running properly, idles and revs as it should in welding mode, and in power mode when the idle is at +-1850 it is producing right around 120-125 vac. The issue that I'm having is that if the engine hunts a little at idle it increases the voltage exponentially. Isn't there a provision to prevent this from happening? Just wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. I figure when I have it tuned right it will stay pretty evenly at idle, but It seems like a safety issue to have unpredictable voltage at the outlet. Thanks. Serial #je807056

    Actually low and high idles are done via Frequency, so idle on yours is 60 hz, with high idle at 100 hz, if I remember right. Power comes right off the stator.
    nothing to restrict or it out.

      Ok thanks. I have read some posts of people saying that voltage on this machine is only supposed to be present at the 60hz outlet when the idle is set correctly to prevent over/under voltage situation. A board actuated relay maybe? I suppose I can just monitor rpm and avoid plugging sensitive electronics in

        Not going to be plugging senstive electronics into this thing. as I said, the only thing between the stator and recepacle is wires. On the weld side, its a controlable field.
