  • Miller bobcat 225 NT problems

Have a miller bobcat 225 NT that we are running a suitcase 12 vs on. Problem we are having is when the suitcase is hooked up to the bobcat and hooked up in reverse polarity running flux core wire the bobcat will not go to idle when the switch is in the run/idle position. I can remove the work lead and it will go to an idle but as soon as you hook it back to the work piece it goes back to high idle and stud there. Any ideas?

Likely a rpm issue, yours is not set around the 62.5 hz mark. However it is sensing a load as a VS feeder is a load on the system, welding or not

When it's set on DCEP it will go to a idle. We recently had the stator replaced on the machine because it would not shut down and before the work was done it would idle down in DCEN so that's why I'm stumped. And as usual you never have problems out of a machine till you start the biggest job of the year!!

not real sure what a rotor has to do with a machine not shutting down, lot of scam artist techs around though. maybe leave it in dcep
and switch the cables yourself, until you figure it out.
