Arc Welding 6011 high arc force

When ever i weld with 6011 it just has really high arc force and often times blows through my metal but when i use 7018 it welds flawlessly can anyone tell me what i can do to fix this.

All rods do not weld the same nor are they supposed to.
Learn the differences and when, where and how to utilize each rod.

Simple, no, doable, yes.
Burn about 100 pounds of each rod and you will have it down pat.

Some machines are easier with the 6011 than others, what machine do you have?

Try turning the amperage down about 10 to 15 amps when using the 6011 vs 7018.

6010-6011 is a deep penetrating, forceful, spray type arc.
7018- is low penetrating soft type arc.
As stated run at lower amps than 7018 and most time requires different technique to run.
