Not worth it, least wise, I run a repair center, and would advise the customer not to bother.

I was running 220 volts off a 50 amp breaker
We have put 100's of pounds of wire though this machine running mainly off a generator. We bought it new 11/21/2005
Would it be worth replacing this board
I am looking at the Miller Multimatic 200 to replace the Passport

Looks like it had trouble switching voltages and caught a surge, what power were you running in? Never the less, its no more good.

Very unlikely that simple replacement of the MOV will do much, that board is toast, unit likely caught a power surge and roasted a IGBT mod.

    So whats the freaken serial#

    Paul?

Looks like the problem all right. Seems like an easy fix to solder in a new one, the question is what went wrong to cause it, is there something failed upstream, or did it cause any damage down stream. It appears to my untrained eye to be a thermister, which is sort of like a thermostat to turn on the cooling system, may have gotten lucky and can just replace it.
I am sure Cruizer will be along shortly to shed some light on it.

started a topic Miller Passport not working

    Miller Passport not working

Yesterday I was welding and the welder quit feeding wire. The overheat light was blinking. Reset power and it stops until I pull the trigger. Light blinks and it won't feed wire.
Pulled the cover off and this is what I found.

    more pics to come
