Dynasty DX200 on 120 V input?

I was wondering if anyone has run the 200 0n 120V input? Mostly how it operates on the lower half of its range. Thanks, JEFF

I have run my Maxstar 200DX on 120VAC. I expect the Dynasty 200DX or SD to be similar since it utilizes the same autoline power circuit. It did a great job and was able to get about 150 amps output. However, I was running off a 30 amp breaker wired directly to a main service. On a 20 amp residential service I got closer to 100 amps. The machine performs well. It really shines on 480 3 phase! Wow, what an arc?

Hawk, Thanks, I thought that maybe you had used a machine like this or close to to it with this input. After hearing/reading the good things about it I am thinking that this might be my next upgrade. If I wind up with one it would normally be on 230 in my shop but it's good to know that the portability would be an added plus if it works OK on 120V. A related question that I think you would know better than most is if a person had a 300dx and a 200 dx in a shop on 230 would they would they perform equally( minus the top end difference)? The reason I ask is that I attend as many equipment and bankruptcy sales as I can and you never know what you might find. Thanks for your time and input, JEFF

I think they would perform equally well less the amperage output. However, my Dynasty experience lies with the 200DX. The only performance difference I have noted is it is better on 480 3 phase than any other power input I have found. I don't think it is the 480 as much as it is the 3 phase. Perhaps you should start a new post titled Dynasty 200/300 and see what answers we get from those with the 300DX.
