    Get one of these and see what the no-load speed of the motor is. http://www.harborfreight.com/digital...ter-66632.html

    It would also be a good idea to take a current reading with and without load and see if it's close to the nameplate current.

    What brand abrasives? I exclusively use SG elastic 3/32 by PFERD. Everything else is a step down by comparison.

    I checked the brushes and they have about 1/2 inch left. My manual says they must have at least a 1/4 inch. I guess that's not the problem.

    Ridgid cm1450 cut off saw

    Has anyone experienced problems cutting metal with the Ridgid cm1450? It was working fine the last time I used it but now it seems as though it is not turning enough rpm's to cut. The motor sounds fine but just will not cut. Just put a new blade on thinking something was wrong with blade.
