  • WeldingDirect.com has terrible customer service

Just had an order were these guys sent me the wrong thing. Package marking was correct but the contents of the package were not. Items in question were DInse connectors. I ordered 2 male SK-50 size dinse connectors but the package contained 2 male 10-25 Dinse connectors (these are the next size down from an SK-50).

No big deal I think, mistakes happen, so I call them up and they said they'd send correct ones out right away and a package for returning the incorrect ones. Great I think to myself, these guys know how to treat customers and promptly correct THEIR mistakes.

However, a week later they call back and say they can't do that. That I will have to go on line order what I wanted again, pay for it, send the incorrect items back at my expense, and when they see the items are not the right size, they will refund my money.

Now that's customer service for ya. I'll never order another thing from these guys. It isn't how they treat you when your spending money it's how they treat you when they've made a mistake that counts. These guys just say s_c_r_e_w you.

Well, this is a case where we need to spread the word to boycott. I hope you paid with a credit card, call the card company and file a complaint, they will take the money from them 'till resolved... this usually gets immediate action.

Why not send them a link to this thread?

I have purchased air-cooled torch heads from them & did not have an issue, For $11 each they have become a disposable item for me. The quality is cheap but you get what you pay for.
