  • What size cable?

I have a 200 amp inverter welder and would like to make some longer cables, what size wire should I use?

    Thanks,
    Greg

It all depends on how long the leads are, and what amperage you are welding at.

They will be 15ft long and the max amperage would 200 amps.

Here is a good blurb about welding cables, sizes, etc.

        http://www.lincolnelectric.com/en-us...ng-cables.aspx

Somewhere between a 4 ga. and a 2 ga. should do.
        Miller stuff:
        Dialarc 250 (1974)
        Syncrowave 250 (1992)
        Spot welder (Dayton badged)
