  • How about a 'LOW PROFILE ' ?

How about a ' LOW PROFILE ' Bobcat 250 AC/DC with 10 or 11000 gen that would fit under a tonneau cover on a pickup truck ? 18" H X w ? X L ? compact as possible, side exhaust etc... I think the demand would be huge and im sure Miller has the technology, i know i would like one ! What do you think, Pro's, Cons ?

Get rid if the battery and fuel tank and you're almost there. But where you going to relocate those to?

Theres 48" between the wheel wells and plenty of room to make it longer even in a short bed pickup ! Battery on one side, fuel tank on the other, Motor, Welder/Generator down the middle ? There is no doubt that Miller could do it !

Every welder i have owned gets the battery removed and is run off the truck battery via 2/0 cable with 80amp breaker. First welder running charges the truck batteries..darn strobe/work lights will ware them down. Also guarntees welder always starts.
For me a welder size is not an issue...however with the dpf and newer diesels not liking the idling i have thought about the welder driving a hyd pump. They make them now but are very expensive.
