You are correct, you should have mentioned. Nobody is a mind-reader here, with the information you originally provided the correct answer IS : READ THE OWNERS MANUAL. Nothing wrong with the first two responses to your question. Just to complicate things more, some wires are negative ground, some wires are supposed to be used positive ground. Reading your original post, I doubt you even have a concept about this. If you are unable to download large files on your phone, at least ask whatever welding supply you are dealing with to provide the correct information you need to properly use the wire. They should give you a table providing polarity, Wire speed, voltage, and sometimes amps. Every wire manufacturer provides this, the welding supply you deal with should be able to pass it on to you, even if just a photocopy.

Thank you brocc and tryagn. The information you provided was very useful! As for the other two who posted not so much. I guess I should have stated in the post I was in a remote location, and my phone was being slow and not downloading the pdf manuals.

The only thing I disagree with in Tryagn5's post is do the last step first.

I have a trail blazer 301g with the 3 different lead hook ups. Work, stinger/electrode, and cv(colored blue) I purchased a used suitcase xtreme 8vs for 100$. Reason so cheap the voltage sensing wire was cut and it didn't have a gun to go with the machine. So I couldn't really test it out. I soldered a clamp on the voltage sensing wire, I'm just not sure how the **** to hook it up to.test it before I take it to get repaired if it needs it. I don't have shielding gas or bottle just yet so I guess flux core would be the choice of wire to get to test with. I've read some online manuals but am confused by some things. I guess could someone just give me a.simple run through of how.to hook it up? Do I run ground/work cable from my TB301g to work piece? And also voltage sensing wire.from 8vs to work piece? Do I plug into stinger/electrode or the cv(blue) lead hook up on my TB301g? I have a dial at the top left with different settings.Top portion is labeled electrode hot and has voltage sensing wire feed, stick, and lift start tig settings. Bottom portion is pretty much the same but says remote. And also a panel/remote switch. Do I control voltage from the TB301g or 8vs? thanks in advance!
Nick

Unsure if you actually read any of the manuals, because you'd be on the VS mig, and hooked up to the CV and work leads.
Going to "Bump" this one..... to H80N
