  • Dialarc HF-P

    Hi-

    is there a Miller pulser attachment that compliments this welder. It has the old twist lock remote contactor and amperage connections. The pulser would have to be compatibe with that standard.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Ray

    Ray,
    There has never been a pulser attachment for the Dial Arc HF. The design(non-solid state)of these units makes it pretty much impossible to turn it into a pulse tig unit.

    They are very tough units and perform very well.

    Happy welding....

    Kevin

      Dial Arc HF-P

      Hi Kevin;

      Thank you very much for the information -- that helps a lot. I appreciate your time in reading my post.

      The unit is old, but I've seen this particular model in a lot of welding shops and the people that work with them swear by their reliability. Just goes to show that quality is timeless.

      Good job Miller Inc.

        Pulse Unit for the Dial Arc HF

        Thanks Kevin for the reply -- Today I also got an e-mail from a fellow that was looking at this site and referred me to an ebay post about a very old external AIRCO Pulsed Heliweld Unit on ebay.

        He suggests that this external unit will work for all Miller Dial Arc HF models. I looked at it and it has the proper remote connections -- it could work. Could be useful info for other Dial Arc owners.

          Ray,
          I have never seen a control like that before. It looks like it could possibly work with the Dial Arc HF it does have the right connectors. If you do purchase it please let me know if it works. I'm curious as to what kind of pulsing capability it would give you.

            Airco Heliweld Pulser

            Hi Kevin;

            Yes by all means -- If I manage to get my hands on this unit (remember it's ebay) I will definitely post the results. This could be very interesting.

            Thanks for the feedback --

              Refurbished Pulser

              Hi Kevin;

              I received a lot of information on this Pulser -- along with a lot of comments suggesting that the Pulser will work and others suggesting that it won't. Although most of the people thought that it would work without a hitch.

              Once it was rewired, it started up nicely.
