no as that is a cv....ie constant voltage. As you need cc..ie constant current to tig weld.

You are the quite clever observer! I got this equipment from a friend who does no welding at all and he thought it was a TIG welder. It took only a brief read of the manual to determine what it is for (starting the arc using high freq) but alas the manual only references connecting to "the welding power source" which left me disappointed in the completeness of the manual. I looked through the Welding Discussions here without much additional enlightenment. Thus asking via this forum seemed to be a good way of doing the needed research.

The constant current versus constant voltage comment from another member was very helpful though.
