Looking thru the threads with no answer........adding the frequency unit to a welder that has a fixed ac balance, will the unit change the balance or will it maintain that balance for aluminum welding... ie.. reading threads on higher freq settings for better arc control on certain aluminum joints,,mainly butt joints to prevent arc wander. Typical machines with fixed balance are the older syncrowave 180's and the newer diversion 165 and 180.

the HF-251 was primarily intended as an accessory for engine drives like the Trailblazer to provide High Frequency arc starting and stabilization to make TIG welding easier for those units..
