Help troubleshoot millermatic 185 problem please

Machine suddely quit feeding. The feed roller is not turning. Can someone help troublshoot this with me. Pull the trigger and it clicks. Where should I start,
Appreciate any help.

There are a few things you need to check.

TP1 and TP2 complete the circuit to pull in CR1 motor control relay. If CR1 (ice cube relay is closing, (that may be the click you hear) then the circuit is probably good.

If the click you hear is the gas solenoid then check the circuit.

If the relay is closing it's most likely the PC board

One thing I want to add for everyone that reads this thread. A dirty liner has ruined more PC boards in my 17 years of being a CST than anything else. As you increase the pressure on the rollers, it takes more amps to run the motor and puts more strain on the board. A $20 new liner will save a $300 or $400 repair. Just a thought.

Thanks for reply. I assume CR1 is the relay with the clear cover, yes it is closing. Incidently, when I disconnected the red and black leads from motor to check for power to the motor, the red wire pilled out of its connector quite easily. I twisted the wires together and now motor is operating. Wonder if it could have been a bad crimp connection on spade terminal. At any rate it is working now. We will see if it remains working. Poor crimps will definitely shut you down. Glad you found the problem.
