spectrum DC 500

How good/reliable are the Spectrum DC 500 Plasma cutters. There is one for sale for $670 and I was wondering if something like this would be a reasonable alternative to getting a brand new one since its use would be on the low end.

SOCALITA.............We have not made them for awhile. See if you can round up the serial number and I will get the age for you. That should have some determination on the purchase.......... They were pretty tough units...............Your call let us know.......Rock..

Hello Rock,

I was hoping to get information last night as the unit was a sale on Ebay. I want a Plasma cutter to go alon with the MM210 but because I am seeing the numbers increase with every addition I was hoping to get a good used Plasma cutter. Needless to say it sold and I didn't bid on it since I didn't know anything about it or didn't have the opportunity to have the valuable information from the members on this board.
