I had an accident in my shop that broke the hose fitting on my miller 135 gas regulator. When I removed the fitting for replacement, I noticed that the hole through the center was very small. It looks like it might be used to restrict the gas flow. I replaced it with a fitting from my local hardware store but now I wonder if I should order an original fitting. Could this cause to much gas to flow?

The adjustment screw controls how much gas gets to the gun; you should be OK. I can't think of a reason to worry about it, but if there is a problem, the Miller guys will let you know. Also post this at the Hobart forum.
