Invertec 200. won't power on. help!!!

Ok guys,
I bought this machine from a reputable guy on eBay.
This guy had 8 eight of them. took them out of service, they wired 480v.

I got the machine, was full of dielectric power. normal I guess.
I put the 6-50p on it.
Switched the switch on the back to 230.
Plugged it in, and nothing happens.
I talked to the seller, I trust him.
That's beside the point.

maybe there is something in there about setup switchology that will fix it...

did notice that they don't want it to be powered by a generator..

"The V200-T should not be powered from the auxiliarypower supply of an engine welder. Special protection

circuits may operate causing loss of output".

so maybe it is a bit finicky about supply power??

is that one of the Italian Lincolns..??

The switch on the back is the on/off switch.

So,
The only thing left is that the plug is wired correctly?????
Is it???
Looks right to me, I've wired up about ten machines the same way.
Still running.
Green is the top(ground) and black and white can go to either of the bottom ones,
Am I right???

Or it might be that 0.5 amp slow blow fuse.

I would read the WHOLE manual and go through everything... including any fuses...

a lot of times it is the simple obvious stuff that bites us..

I'd check with an ohmmeter while it is unplugged. Black and red would be the standard Hot conductors. Black and white for 120 Volt configuration. This is not true with my new Dynasty with "Auto Line". These machines use red only for 3 phase. Sorry I don't understand either.

Red would be one of the hot legs on most 240 volt equipment. White is used only when 120 volt is needed. This does not hold true on my new Dynasty. Red is used only on three phase.

This machine had the plug on it you see in the eBay link.
It had three wires.
No red one.
I'm sure I wired the right plug to the right terminal.
I don'y understand it.
I'll get you some better pics of the wiring in the morning.

I found the 0.5 amp fuse.
Now since its not clear, how do I tell if its any good???

Do you have a Multimeter?? and know how to use it to check the fuse continuity (out of circuit, removed from board)

if not.. find a friend that is competent in it's use..

MAKE SURE THE WELDER IS UNPLUGGED BEFORE YOU TOUCH ANYTHING!!!

From the Operators manual... page 22

The machine is dead - no output -

no fan.

1. The input power switch must bein the ON position

2. Make sure the input voltage iscorrect for the machine.

3. Check continuity of the 0.5-ampslow blow fuse located on the

P.C. Board.

I can't read the nameplate. Will it configure to 240 Volt single phase? Might it be possible to download a manual? I wonder if the way it is linked for 480 it won't recognize 240 as useable power supply. Most machines have connection diagrams on or in the supply enclosure.

You may have a point there......

Easy enough to check which color wires are connected on the WELDER side..

that machine is single phase only so it may not follow the same convention used on the Miller Dynasty wiring...

if it is not connected... it will not power up....
