I have a old 330 abp in my garage, just noticed the hf fequency stopped working, it will scratch start. I have the manual for it. I did a google search found a thread originating from here that had the same exact problem, so I registered here, but I can't find it doing a search here on the site. In a nutshell it seems most likely to be a capaciter. According to my schematic there are 2 capaciters, 1 smaller round, and one larger rectangular one with 2 copper straps coming off of it, one going to the points, one going to the hf intensity. Question is how do you check these, is one more likely to go than the other, also the larger rectangular one, according to the scematic, says qty 2, I only see one. Thanks.

Have you cleaned and regapped the spark gaps..??
plus removing covers and blowing it out with compressed air to clean out conductive dust that might be causing HV leakage to ground..??.
