98 f150 stock cast spindle joined with 4130
I want to modify my stock spindles with 4130 chrom. plate to attach a verticle uniball(s) as well as strengthen linkage mounts. Is this possible with a 175 mig using .35 er70s or er80s filler wire or do I need a special filler? Also, do I need to preheat the spindle prior to joining? Thanx, your a great asset.
