    Hawk,
I use both, the pistol and edge gun. I prefer the pistol just because I like the way it feels. The edge gun performs just as well and I like the ability to swivel the head tube. With the Egde gun, don't over tighten the pull drive rolls. It will cause some feeding irregularities.

Hawk , I think you will enjoy the xr edge .I used this while working in the boat shop. It holds a 14lb spool of wire which makes for a long day of welding . We had the pistol type gun and it was very easy to hold and make pretty weld. Just what the customer likes!!
    Hope you enjoy it.

    Andy,

    And anyone else-

I just purchased the Miller XR edge gun and contoller with 30' torch and rollers for .035 and 1/16". I am hoping to get in this week. Several people have told me to stay away from this system and go with a Cobramatic system. I know they have a new slimmer torch design with a somewhat less bulky contoller, but...? Anybody out there using the XR system? What do you guys think? The money is spent and I'm sure I'll be impressed! Just curious to hear from those who have and use a lot.
