    The Synchrowave 180 can be found for just a little more $$ than the Econtig. Its a beefier machine and a good starting point for deciding which one to get.

    How thick is the metal you will be welding? You don't want to get a welder that is to small. It is best to go big , you don't want to start welding and not have enough power!! I use a syncrowave 250 and it will do just about any thickness without a problem . Hope this helps you decide..
