I AM LOOKING FOR THE MOST COMPATIBLE TIG WELDER TO DO THINGS SUCH AS FABRICATING FUEL TANKS AND SOME INTERNAL METAL WORK ON RACE CARS AND STREET RODS,THE MATERIAL IS BOTH ALUMINUM AND STAIMLESS STEEL. ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS ED BAKER.

any newbie's tig unit is compatible,square wave pro tig 175,econotig,.....choose which color you like best

How thick is the metal you will be welding? You don't want to get a welder that is to small. It is best to go big , you don't want to start welding and not have enough power!! I use a syncrowave 250 and it will do just about any thickness without a problem . Hope this helps you decide..

The Synchrowave 180 can be found for just a little more $$ than the Econtig. Its a beefier machine and a good starting point for deciding which one to get.
