Hi Frequency contact gap

I have an old DialArc and was wondering if there's any advantages or disadvantages to playing around with the spark gaps. I think the factory setting is .008" but I moved recently and haven't been able to find the manual for it. Does setting it wider have any advantage? I don't seem to have any interference action going on in the shop right now. Thanks for your help.

MOTORDOCTOR..........Moveing the point farther apart will create more hf........Broader band width.........Will have that stuff jumping everywhere.........Very seldom should you have a reason to move from factory settings..........Good Question.............Rock..
