Do non-tungsten electrodes exist that could be or are used with Tig equipment?

Curious if there might be some odd specialty process out there.

While still using a tungsten electrode in a different configuration and a dedicated controller "Plasma Welding" can use a TIG power supply....
You sometimes see Maxstars used with a THERMAL ARC WC100B PLASMA Weld controller and torch..

This is NOT plasma cutting... and is getting less and less popular with the advent of advanced inverter TIG machines that give precise puddle control and are replacing Plasma equipment in many applications as a more cost effective solution.....
