  • Legend vs. Wildcat???

I have the opportunity to purchase either a Miller "Legend" AEAD 200LE (ser#KA759...) or a Miller "Wildcat" 225G (ser#JK602...) from a family member. Both have Onan engines, and are understood to be fully functional. Neither looks real great or has an hour meter. If anyone can shed some light on perks, capabilities, etc. for one versus the other or price expectancy; it would be much appreciated.

You can download the owners manuals by plugging in the serial numbers here..

that will allow you to do a side by side comparison of specs, features, duty cycle etc...

finding them by serial number will insure that you are downloading the version that matches the build series of your machines...

you can also get the approx build date if they are not too old by looking them up on the serial number chart..

The more you know, The better you know, How little you know

“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten”

Buy the best tools you can afford.. Learn to use them to the best of your ability.. and take care of them...

I can't speak on the Wildcat, but I had a Legend and loved the fact that it had 110v power at an idle. Only 5,000 watts, but for most power tools that was adequate. It also had a 9 amp receptacle for 110v power while welding...
