    Hi
I wonder if it is possible to build up worn out journals of cast iron and steel crankshafts with Millers equipment . If yes pls advise what type of machine/s . I am aware of the pre and post heat treatment required . I am also aware that specializede equipment for welding crankshafts is available (can't afford !)

Hi magaboul......... Yes you can build up cam shafts.......... However problem is resiZeing by machineing, balanceing properly, reheat treating for specific rockwell hardness..........etc..... Not very cost efective.......... This is why the specialized equipment cost so much......... My thoughts are it would be better to purchase a new or used cam shaft...............Be safe..............Rock
