I'm looking at a used bobcat 225, it's about 4yrs. old with 700hrs. on it. Just wondering if 1700.00 would be a good buy or to much. I know very little about engine driven welders. Thanks for the help.

4 yrs ago that unit probably listed for around $2700.
If it was taken care of, that's not a bad deal.
Do any accessories come with it?

Andy's the man who knows these machines. It sounds like you are saving about 600.00 buying used. My dealer quoted me 2200.00 plus tax for a new Bobcat 225 NT. If everything works and it looks good, then it's probably a good deal. Does the owner have any maintenance records on the engine? If you keep the oil changed the twin cylinder Onan and Kohler engines last for ever. My buddy sold a Bobcat after 11 years and several thousand hours. He had it gone through by the dealer. I think he replaced the muffler and that's about it.
