Bought the last 3-pure our LWS had in stock. He said can't reorder? Going to E3 in future.
Tried the E3 today with dynasty on small Alm job
Same opinion as shovelon not to bad.

As for the Ceriated tungstens, I think they are ok , but i personally prefer the 1.5 or 2% lanthanated. They seem to give the sweetest characteristics with all the gear i use. I see they are bringing the E3 tungsten out in a big way as the latest greatest thing for all things Tig welding. I have researched this and it seems to have very similiar composition to the 2% lanthanated. I understand it has lanthanated as well as rare earth components?
E3 is 1.5% lanthanum with trace amounts of yttrium and zirconium.

Pure "is" commonly used with sinewave tigs. Lots of people still use it.

Why is that? And where did you get this from? I have used and still do use pure with my lincoln square wave and it works great... i use ceriated on thin alu. Under 3/16. Anything over i use pure

Red, green and orange all have there place for that machine as far as bead profile is concerned. Balling effects etc. with amperage and material thickness, esp with aluminum.

I use 2% red for everything. I have some pure green stripe that I use for small guage aluminum, but if I'm welding over 120 amps, I use the red. I have a sync 200 also and I mostly weld heavy stainless with Click image for larger version

Hi all, I have recently purchased a syncrwave 200 and was wondering which tungsten (color) would best suit this machine for welding aluminum?
Working...
