Vertical stick welds

Hey,

would any of you mind posting some pics of some vertical welds you've done with a stick? Also your particular technique/movement strategy, rod position etc? Thank you.

What rod are you trying to use? Different rods=different technique.

7018= pause at the side, quick across the middle, pause at other side, repeat. Rod angled up about 10*.

I do mine straight in, pause at side till you see flux start going to middle, move to other side.
