  • GMAW for thin wall (.035/.049 4130 tube

I have been TIG welding 4130 tube for aircraft for several years. This can be VERY difficult sometimes because of awkward positions as you work around a cluster. Forget having an ideal torch angle or a steady hand.
I would like to use MIG which would be so much easier but I am worried about weld quality and appearance. I note that the 135 and 175 are said to be able to weld down to 24 guage and the 210 down to22 guage. Since all the machines go down to 30 amps, what is the difference. Also, does the Millermatic Pulsar have any advantages for thin materials.
    Thanks, Jerry
