Silicon Bronze filler

Recently I used Silicon Bronze filler to TIG weld cast steel to mild steel for a piece of tooling and was impressed with how well it seemed to flow. Can you explain it's other uses and limitations?

DOGRULES..........AS I RECALL ONE OF THE THINGS SILICONE BRONZE WAS BASICALLY DESIGNED AS A NOR FEROUSE MATERIAL.......SUITABEL TO WELD SOUCH THINGS AS GAS TANK FILLER NECKS SO THE ATTACHMENT DOESN'T IGNITE FUMES IN TANK.......... ...............ROCK
