We are a small race car chassis shop looking at purchasing a new tig welder. We are a custom shop building cars for the local circle track and drag guys. We even do repair work for a ARCA/Hooter Pro Cup Team. We are looking for a pretty diverse machine. We need it to cover Aluminum, Mild Steel up to 3/16", Stainless and Chrome Moly. Our main reason for the purchase is to start building and repairing Quarter Midgets. We have looked at both the Econotig and the Sycrowave 180SD. Which of these machines would do us the best job or is there one that would be better?
