I'm in the process of trying to figure out what MIG welder to get. I've looked at both Hobart and Millers. I'm looking for one for hobby/automotive work in my garage. Most of my welding will be on 20 gauge sheet metal for body panels. (Restoring a VW Bus), but I also wouldn't mind having something that can do nice welds on thicker metal (such as frame work. I am looking for a welder that I can keep for a long time, so I'm not really interested in the HD or Lowes jobs where you use it once and then ready to upgrade....I have considered the Millermatic 210, but is that too much of a welder for what applications I plan to use it for?
Any suggestions on a good MIG welder would be greatly appreciated.
