Unfortunatly there is no retro to fit meters in to your machine without it being too costly.
The MM251 is an electronic controlled unit with fine Voltage adjustment being made with a potentiometer like your 250X. The Vintage has a 12 range voltage tap selector(6 high and 6 low). Fine tuning is done with the wire speed adjustment. The Vintage is normally easier to use but the MM251 is more precise. The amperage range is the same for both. Both run the spoolgun and cost the same. It really comes down to operator preference.

    millermatic 250x

Hi Andy,I was wondering if it is possible to put meters on my machine. When I bought it they were not an option. Serial KJ****** I think its a 1998 model. I believe the next year the 250x came with meters. If this is possible would it be very expensive to do this? Also what is the differnce between the 251 and the Vintage 250 and what are the advantages of one over the other? Thank you so much for your help. CHUB380
