    I have always had good luck with 4043. I think it's a little more user friendly and looks a little better.

    What is the part you are welding? You will get around 10% higher strength with a 5356 filler metal, but 4043 will have better ductility and is less crack sensitive.

    What welding wire should I use on 6061 aluminum? Would 5356 or 5556 be ok to use? I was planning to mig weld it. Thanks
