A. The major differences in chassis fab for drag racing and stock car racing is that the chassis in the stock car industry are quite a bit stonger in a triangulated way. Drag cars only have to go straight and are built to get a lot of rear weight transfer on acceleration. Stock cars have to be more rigid and have thicker tube specs than most drag stuff. Some drag racing sanctioning bodies require the chassis to be TIG welded while top stock car racing doesn't dictate which process is used, and most teams will MIG weld their chassis together. You will see alot of Chrome-Moly material in drag cars and mostly mild steel DOM tubing in stock cars. Great question.
