33 lb spool of .045 er70s6 on Amazon may be the deal of the year...........
Looks like most of their stuff is rebadged chinese crap. Has anyone ever used their wire? I would guess it would be the same as HF wire, which I have not used either. I'd be curious to see how it compares, though not curious enough to buy it and see

Well Bob, if you used it and say it is good I'll take your word for it. You are one of the masters.
Having looked into it in the past I found that there are very few companies that draw wire, and so the wire itself is likely from the same batches that form the welding wire of the larger companies. I tend to avoid off brand wire for a few reasons though. Every now and again I have to provide documentation for my welding consumables (MSDS as well as alloy, etc) and I find it is easier to get/keep it from Lincoln/Hobart/ et al. If I am missing it I usually have it in another box or can go to my LWS and grab it. Another reason is that most of the rebadged stuff I have seen is not precision wound. It is not a big deal, but I have had a couple of spools that were not and I had trouble with overruns and jerky feeding. I like to remove every area that has become problematic so that I have to fight things as little as possible. Since welding wire is not a huge expense I try to buy the best I can as economically as I can buy it.
