Q. I just inherited an old MILLER CP-200 without any documentation or literature. I know it is a Mig welder, but is it also capable of welding aluminum? What additional items will I need for it? Can it be adapted for Tig welding? Thanks for your help. (Submitted by: Jon Nash from Unknown)
A. Thanks for the question. Your CP 200 should be a good machine for you. The best way to do aluminum on that unit is get a spoolgun setup. Our Miller Sales Dept can help you with all the right part numbers. As far as doing Tig, that unit is a constant voltage, DC type power source and will not do any Tig. A constant current power source would be used for Tig. Hope this helps.Good luck.
