NO. Operator problem. Don't you hate it when someone blames the equipment and not themselves?
As I was welding, every few seconds the wire would burn back, the arc would hesitate, and as the wire would feed forward again, the arc would re-establish itself and this cycle would continue predictably every so many seconds.
After some analysis I concluded the wire feed was slipping due to the increased tension on the spool as the spool gets used up, due to less leverage. So I'll loosen the spool tension as the wire gets closer to the end.
You Pro's are probably thinking, what a dummy.
. Well, yea I'm a dummy and still learning a lot about this machine as I get more practice.
