Q. It has been some time since I have welded on cars. What MIG welder would you recommend for installing floor pans, and possibly frame work? (Submitted by: Orin Miller from Unknown)
A. A great versatile MIG unit that can handle your wishes would be the Millermatic 210. It has a sweet arc with .023 wire for doing the light floor pans and can easily handle .035 wire for your frame work. My next choice would be the Millermatic 175. It is in a smaller case design but still packs a good punch. The key is getting the right wire for the job. .030 inch wire is a good medium size if you want to try to get by doing both with one wire.
