No helmet? .............. Just did a job this week at a BP gas station & a middle eastern guy about 55-60 yrs. came over. He told me when he started in engineering school they were learning how to stick weld. The first week was bad because his eyes hurt so much. You guessed it, no helmets.

I have seen this first-hand in China. Even had to make a repair with one. 2 wires, probably 10 gauge taped together every few feet for a power cord. No ground. No end on the cord, just stuck into the socket. Everything is 230V over there, & they have "heavy duty" sockets for stuff like this. And yes, no helmet.

Neverlast is not going to like your showing their welder with the sheet metal off.

Actually you can still buy that model welder thru several import dealers on ebay. It's a multi process welder capable of 3 foot thick aluminum in a single pass on 110 volts. A helmet is not neccassary due to the super advanced low frequency arc stabilization provided by the connuter valve thermal absorbtion springs... oh yeah, it's also the welder used by nascar!!!
