  • 330ST Aircrafter arc issues

I have a 330ST Aircrafter in my shop that I inherited when I came onto the project. When I first began using it for TIG a few months ago, I was able to establish an arc from about 1/16" - 1/8" away from my work. Now, for some reason I can only establish an arc by way of a scratch start. Is there a switch or setting I'm not aware of that may have been bumped which might have directly affected this problem? I have downloaded the users manual but can't find anything specific to "scratch start" options.

    Thanks,

    Casey

check figure 3-5 in the manual... make sure that item#7 intensity potentiometer is not turned way down,,,

check spark gaps and clean/adjust as needed... section 5-3... probably filthy and needing gapped...

Also... check the HF Control switch setting... make sure it is NOT in the center/OFF position..
Page 15 in the manual... figure #4-11 "High Frequency Controls"
