  • MIG welder for fabricating stock cars and trailers

    Q. I am in the market for purchasing a MIG welder. I will mostly be using the
welder for fabricating late model stock cars and building trailers. I am a
little confused on what welder would best suit my needs. (Submitted by: Michael Bachaus from Janesville,WI )

    A. Both trailers and race cars have the need for a big enough machine to do it all and still be good enough on the low end to do light sheet metal work for interiors and skins.
The Millermatic 210 would be the ideal choice. I have countless 210's at the race teams we service, and that's the machine I use in my own shop.
Most teams are using it with .030 ER70S-6 wire and 75/25 gas. It's very versatile. You'll love it.
