There was recently a very clean Shopmaster on my local CL for $600. It st at that price for a long time. I'm in agreement that you could get a a shipmaster, hf box and wirefeeder for alot less. Also, the Shopmaster IIRC is a Sinewave machine on AC. The older ones were, but I'm not sure if the newer ones are squarewave.

AGREED, BUY NEW !!!! What do you plan on welding ??? For that money you could get a new MILLER wire machine , couple machines, or plasma. Do you have a welding supplier buy you ?? You will need tanks so see what they stock.

    Why to buy new

I have All Blue welding equipment and an older MillermaticMig 185 complete with all the goodies. It was new in the box. Never put together for $600.00 and that a good deal and worth taking a chance on. That a very big deal to be consider when buying old and tried equipment. What would it cost new of equal value? These items I find all over EBay and Craigslist Month after Month. There are few real bargains amoung them. They have no warranty and no return. I love my new Dynasty200 Tig runner. Brought from a Local Welding Supply and other than paying sales tax match the best internet price I could find. I have local support a phone call away. They treat me very well and I have peace of mind if my machine develops a problem it will be taken care. This forum is a goldmine of information based on real world experience. I think I have a leak somewhere in gas supply and if it turned out after I get the leak detector fluid from an AC supply house and do check of all the fittings and find a problem that I can’t correct. I have the most importance thing of all that 3 year warranty.

If you have single phase; there are a lot of multiprocess welders on ebay in the CA area. Shipping couldn't be that much. You can check www.uship.com to get a decent rate. I know I saw a XMT304 for ~$3k, but I'm not sure what all came with it.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Sorry about the picture. It's the best and biggest one the guy sent to me. Guess I thought this setup might have been worth the price since I dont have 3 phase power and it could do all the different processes even though it is older equipment. I'm in rural eastern Oregon and equipment like this is hard to come by that is even remotely close to where I live. Thanks again for everyones replies.

It is a lot of money for some old dusty Miller stuff. Where are you located and do you have 3phase power? I have seen some decent deals around my neck of the woods for this stuff (under $1000).

The guy was asking $4500 but said he would take $4000 which seemed like a fair price to me but just wanted to see what some other folks on here thought about the price. Ive attached a picture of thie setup. Thanks for any replies.
