Adding a key switch to a Millermatic 200

Perfect solution as long it has plug end. Only thing cheaper would be drill hole in largest blade of plug end and put lock on it.

You can follow back the trigger wire and disable it inside the case...Bob

At first I thought I'd switch the primary input power, but can't find a key switch that can handle 50A 230V.

But I can easily find a key switch rated for 6A 120V...only $12 from McMaster...

So the big question is, where could I wire in such a switch so it would disable the machine when off, and enable the machine when on?
Could I add it on one side of the main power switch, so the machine would only work when BOTH the original switch and the new key switch were ON?

You can easily find a relay that can handle what ever power you need to switch on or off with the key switch you have now.

As far as how you wish to power up the main power supply or simply defeat the output is completely up to you.

I know there are some fellow MM 200 fans on this board, so here's a question for y'all...

Just picked up a sweet 200, circa 1987, in remarkably good shape. $1300 with an M25 gun in good shape, and a beefy Airco flowmeter, about 20 mins from my house.
